Product Description

Isophorone diamine is an organic compound, IPDA for short, the molecular formula is C10H22N2. It is a colorless, slightly hygroscopic liquid with a slight smell of ammonia.  Vapor pressure is 0.002 kPa at 20ºC.  Combustible.  Swallowing is harmful, which can irritate or burn the skin, eyes and mucous membranes, and inhalation of vapor can cause pulmonary edema.  An alicyclic diamine made by the chemical reaction of isophorone, a mixture of two isomers of 3-ammethyl-3,5, 5-trimethylcyclohexylamine.

Application
 

1.IPDA can be used in all common amine reactions.  Under certain conditions, it is especially suitable for reaction with carboxylic acids, carbyl chloride, aldehydes, ketones and epoxides.  It can be mixed with a large number of compounds such as water, alcohols, esters, ethers, and aliphatic, aromatic, and halogenated hydrocarbons in any proportion at room temperature.

Storage and packaging

Stored in a cool and dry place with ventilation and can be sealed for 12 months.
Avoid direct contact with water or strong acid and alkali.
